The general procedure for changing the car key case is as follows.
Open car key. This usually requires removing a small screw with a screwdriver. You can then carefully pry open the plastic. You can use a thin plastic tool for this. Sometimes there is no screw. The plastic cover can then be pried open directly.
There is a small transponder chip in the housing for the immobilizer. Remove it and insert it into the new housing.
Also insert the circuit board into the new housing.Sometimes the transponder is installed on the circuit board. Don't be surprised if you can't find a chip.
If the metal beard can be removed, you can insert it into the new housing. Otherwise the new blank must be ground by the locksmith.
The new key is ready.
